The Mount Shasta Region CHVA presents the 34th annual Red Bluff River Park Car Show, formerly the Woodson Bridge Car Show. Registration will start at 8 a.m.May 18, and the awards ceremony will be at 3 p.m. There will be 30 award trophies in 15 classes.

"RIDE FOR DAD" (1st annual), hosted by the Westcoast Motorcycle Ride For Dad, a chapter of the Canadian Motorcycle Ride for Dad charity foundation fighting against prostate cancer (started in 2000). Event organizers are hoping to have 1,000 - 2,000 riders participate. The riders will be escorted by Vancouver Police Drill Team from Trev Deeley, 1875 Boundary Road Vancouver to Port Moody Rocky Point Park, where a Poker Run will start, followed by a self-guided tour to Harrison, then Cultus and ending at the Fraser Downs Racetrack & Casino for a Celebration BBQ & Awards. There is ample free parking and children 12 and under are free. Admission fees are very reasonable: $5.00 on Saturday, and $10.00 on Sunday, or $25.00 per car load. The action starts at 9:00am on both days with practice & qualifying sessions. Racing takes place on both afternoons. There is a concession on site and a large mall right across from the entrance with plenty of places to eat and shop. A multi-theatre complex is right next to the mall and hotels are just around the corner. There is a large safe area is just behind the grandstands to enjoy a picnic with the family.
