Jim has been My neighbour for a decade or so and I have seen an amazing array of cars come through his garage. His skills with a wrench are good enough to allow him to venture out on a commercial venture with a partner and open up Airspeedparts.com
The bug to the right is his latest creation and he has come full circle from when I first met him. This one has original paint and has some wicked old speed stickers from back in the day.
The first car to come out of his garage was a quarter mile Beetle. Kawasaki Green and below 10 seconds!!!
The last green beetle(below) is streetable but also very quick. It is in new hands now and we will see how long it takes Jim to build another rocket Beetle. |

Jim is also a member of one of the Local Beetle clubs. DVKK gives out these stickers to any member that can run 100 MPH in the quarter mile!

This car is for the street and his family and "only" had 265 hp to begin with. Things change and the big turbo got stuck on it. |

This is the first run I saw once it was completed and it was in the low 13's...but it got quicker and ended off it's first night at a mid 12 and well over 100mph.

The care and attention that went into this car made it hard to believe it was as quick as it was. It look wicked from every angle!!! |
